Well, it's official...we got a call from Jacob's neurologist's office and his surgery is scheduled for February 8th. Jacob and I will head up to the hospital the afternoon before for his pre-op exam, bloodwork, etc. and then spend the night. Marc will stay home and get the other kids off to school the morning of the surgery and then join me at the hospital once everyone is on their busses. Normally, we could have my inlaws help with getting everyone off to school, but keep in mind that Zach will still be wearing his two heavy casts when all this happens and won't be easy to get ready in the morning. Hopefully things are going well for him at that point...or this could get even more complicated!
As for Zachary, he just had his pre-op doctors visit and got the go-ahead for his surgery on Tuesday. Now we just have to try to live our lives as normally as possible while this all plays out.
What an interesting start to 2012 this is going to be!!!
